Welcome to all joining, below are the rules for the U9 Wrap up
LEO U9 Championship Day Rules
1
Teams must be prepared to play 15 minutes prior to scheduled puck drop (except in first game of the day).

A 3 minute warm up will be given prior to game start.

Games will consist of 3 – 10 minute stop time periods.
4 If possible, home team should wear light coloured sweaters.

Theft or loss will be the responsibility of each individual team in their dressing room.

All games will be played by OMHA and LEO rules.

Mercy rule – when a team is ahead by FIVE goals in the third period, the clock will run straight time. If goal margin drops below 5 then the game will revert back to Stop Time.

In round robin game, teams will be awarded 4 points for a win, 2 points for a tie, 1 point for each period win and ½ point for a period tie.

Ties in points in LEO U9 Championship Day standings will be broken by:
A.
Head to Head (unless more than two teams tied)
B.
Most Won Games
C.
Least Goals Against
D.
Most Goals For
E.
Fewest Penalty Minutes
F.
Coin Toss

Ties in Championship games only will be decided in the following manner (no OT in round robin):
A. 5-minute runtime, three on three. Penalties will carry over to OT. (non-offending team will receive an extra man)
B. If still tied, 3 player shootout (all players are eligible, whether serving a penalty or not)
C. If still tied, sudden death shootout. Players from step B. may shoot again at the top of the order but then you may not use the same player twice, until your bench is exhausted

Coaching staff will be asked to select a “Player of the Game” from their own team after each game.

At the end of every game please have both teams line up quickly on their blue line for award presentations.
